North Star was established in 2015 and is a product of my passionate vision of creating a quality planning and wealth management proposition with an emphasis on service and not driven by a product sales ethos. Having worked in various different areas of Financial Services I wanted to be able to create a service from scratch that focused on the values I feel are important to clients and that I saw lacking in some other businesses. My ethos is based on knowing every client on an individual level and committing to consistent, personal contact and growing a valuable partnership. I aim to have every client feel that I am acting as their financial counsel with any query or concern they may encounter through daily life.

I started my career in Financial Services in 2003 while studying and have continued in the sector ever since. After spending several years working with an investment and pension provider I trained as a financial adviser in 2008 with a large national firm. The success in this role allowed me to join an investment company working as an offshore specialist where I enjoyed 5 years gaining valuable experience working in this technical and competitive market. After making the decision to move back to an advisory role I returned briefly to a large national firm before deciding to establish my own firm, where I could set the core standard and values from outset. I am a proud member of the Personal Finance Society, Chartered Insurance Institute and Bristol Chamber of Commerce.
Every client I work with is different and my relationship with them evolves into one that suits them and their needs. As a backdrop to this I integrate a four stage recurring process that provides structure and ensures that their requirements are being dealt with thoroughly and efficiently. The process starts with what I call Discovery; this is essentially me gathering plenty of information which enables me to start conducting my Research and formulate a proposal that reflects my professional advice. After presenting the plan to you, with your agreement I then work to Implement the plan and finally establish a regular Review schedule to ensure that the advice stays relevant and effective over time.
